The above package is a simple, but powerful solution based on Kestrel software, however it is our range of optional components which make the package extremely powerful and totally unique.

First is a "Hardware Option". This enables Kestrel to be notified if any electrical device changes it’s state. For example, a door sensor, pressure mat or uninterruptable power supply. Kestrel can also control electrical devices, such as lights or security cameras.

If the reception area is unmanned for any reason, Kestrel’s hardware option can detect when someone enters and the Front Office System can play them a "welcome" message, whilst informing a member of staff to go to reception and welcome the visitor.

Kestrel also includes a "Telephony Option", which enables it to interface seamlessly with your telephone and to automatically dial an external telephone number and play any number of pre-recorded messages. In addition, Kestrel can understand and act upon any user response by "reading" the key depressions made by the user. It can also act on instructions from an authorised user who dials into the system, so you could literally dial in to tell Kestrel to put the kettle on!

Consider the following example:

Your office and reception area is unattended overnight. Should anyone break-in, or enter the reception area outside of normal office hours, then you want to turn on the reception lights and take video pictures of the intruders in the entrance area. You want the video pictures stored off-site on a computer located at a regional office, and you want to be notified at home of the event.
